- At an independent school such as ours, the uniform is intended to develop school pride and provide equality and inclusion.
- All students are required to wear the school uniform on all regular school days except Wednesdays.
- Shirts should always be tucked in and buttoned. All pants should be hemmed down.
- Care instructions: Do not wash clothing in bleach as the school logo will fade.
- Homeroom/class teachers monitor uniforms and communicate with parents and the Administration if there is concern.
- OUT OF UNIFORM = OUT OF CLASS, if school rules are not adhered to.

FALL/WINTER UNIFORM-
October 1- April 30
- Charcoal grey pants
- White dress or polo shirts/blouses with the school crest/logo
- Maroon sweater with the school crest
- Black non-marking shoes
- Black socks
- Navy blue head wear (rumal/patka/turban) for Sikh Studies assembly and events.
7. School Jacket (logoed) for outer wear /low or freezing temp.

SPRING/SUMMER UNIFORM
May 1- September 30:
- Charcoal grey pants. Primary Department students have the option of wearing shorts (boys) or skorts (girls)
- White half sleeve shirts/ blouses (polo or dress) with school crest.
- Black non-marking shoes
- White socks

Note: All uniform items are a mandatory for the season indicated: students must be in complete uniform from 8:00 a.m. till the time they reach home in the afternoon.
GYM STRIPS:
- For K-3: not required
- For 4-10: required
Grey gym t-shirts and sweat tops and navy blue sweat pants with the School Mascot design will be available from Neat Uniforms. Students may also buy gym strips without school mascot design but in the same colors (the color scheme is grey for the top and navy blue for the pants) from shops of choice, as long as the school dress code is followed.
Note: PE/DPA is mandatory for all students for at least 30 minutes EVERYDAY according to a recent Ministry of Education legislation. Therefore, it is advisable for parents to ensure that students have clean gym wear for every lesson.
ATTIRE FOR RELIGIOUS FUNCTIONS:

SCHOOL GUIDELINES:
- Students must be in complete uniform from start to finish of school except during lunch periods outdoors in summer
- Only plain white t-shirt may be worn under a school shirt or sweater.
- The school button down shirts must be tucked in at all times.
- No hats, toques or caps permitted in the classrooms/buildings/portables or on uniform days
- No rings
- No beads, chains, studded collars, or studded wristbands
- No tattoos
- No earrings for boys
- No face or skin-painting except at pre-arranged school events
- No hair colors or hair styles that depart from the school norm.
DRESS CODE GUIDELINES FOR NON-UNIFORM DAYS AND EVENTS:
- No bare midriffs, bare shoulders or spaghetti straps
- No low rise jeans
- No pyjamas or slippers
- No short skirts above the knee [no student will be exempted from Sikh Studies Assembly on account of “inability to participate” because of the attire chosen].
- Shorts should cover to mid-thigh when seated
- No clothing with inappropriate logos, sayings, pictures or graphics of any kind
- No tank tops (unless under a shirt), halter tops, crop/midriff tops, cut-off shorts and torn jeans.
