Dasmesh Punjabi School Math teachers provide a caring and nurturing learning environment. The Department prepares students to realize their potential, gives opportunities to participate in various mathematical contests and provides a foundation to help them throughout their lives. We offer the B.C. Ministry of Education prescribed curriculum from K-11. Grade10 is offered Foundations of Mathematics & Pre-Calculus & Grade 11 is offered Pre-Calculus & Foundations of Mathematics.
Goals:
To develop a strong mathematical foundation in our students
To assist students in preparing for the Ministry of Education Exams.
To provide extra help through the Math Tutorial Club.
To give opportunities to students to participate in various Math contests.
To integrate technology and math in the classroom (smart white board).
To continue creating common Department-wide student Assessment tools.

Exam Results:
The School’s Numeracy (Math) pass rate for the FSA Exam has been 100% over the last several years. Last year an impressive number of students exceeded expectations.
Our Provincial Exam result-record for grade 10 have also been very good so far.
Math Tutorial Club:
This club, supported by ex-students, has proved to be one of the best strategies for enhancing and improving students math confidence and skills.
