REQUIRED COURSES (linear): One English (Ministry requirement) and 3 other Grade 12 Courses in the Sciences or Maths (DPS Grad Program Focus requirement). The Ministry requirement for graduation is also for 16 course credits at the grade 12 level. Check for pre-requisites with your Grade 11 HRT/counsellor.

English12- There is a Provincial EN 12 Exam at the end of the year (mandatory for graduation).

Chemistry 12 or AP Chemistry 12  (Select 1)

Biology 12 or AP Biology 12  (Select 1)

Plus Graduation Transitions (GT)- final year of prep for a 4-credit presentation (mandatory)

Choose any two per semester (4 in total). Then choose two alternatives, in case of unavailability of your first choice, and label these A-1 and A-2. Consult your GT teacher/Careers Counsellor, then your friends who work well with you so you can meet the school criteria below, before you make your selections.

Environmental Science 12 - Semester 2

AP Calculus BC 12 A  - Semester 2

English Literature 12- Semester 1

Creative Writing 12- Semester 2

History 12- Semester 1

Geography 12- Semester 2

Accountancy 11- Semester 1

Accountancy 12- Semester 2

BAA Work Experience 12- Semester 1 and Semester 2

BAA Lab Assistant 12- Semester 1 and Semester 2

BAA Peer Tutoring 12- Semester 1 and Semester 2

BAA Gym Assistant 12- Semester 1 and Semester 2

BAA Public Speaking 12- Semester 1

BAA Leadership 12-Semester 2

BAA Bhangra and Gidda Dancing 10- Semester 2

All Ministry of Education courses are worth 4 credits; Board and Authority Approved (BAA) courses are worth 2 credits.

Grade 11 BAA electives may also be selected by Grade 12 students in the year 2012/13.

Availability of an elective will depend on at least 1/3 of the students enrolling for a course. This condition may be waived if exceptional circumstances warrant this.
