CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKS (CRC) FOR
SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS & NON-TEACHING STAFF:
The law requires that all those who work with
children should have CRC’s done.
School Guidelines for Volunteers/Non-teaching Employees:
-If
you are a parent volunteer, then see the Principal.You may not require a CRC.The only condition is thatthe School has sufficient background
information about you.
-For
other volunteers: The School Policy is that you must have your CRC document on
hand when you start your work here as a school volunteer.
-For non-teaching employees of the School Board, you will have a
CRC check conducted upon hire and, subsequently, every 5 years.
All CRCs
will be completed through the CRRP ( Criminal Records Review Program, Ministry
of Public Safety and Solicitor General)and not through the Police Department
