Welcome to our School website. We hope you will visit all the relevant links that will give you a clear idea of what Dasmesh Punjabi School (DPS) offers for the all-round education of your child. DPS, a Class 1 Independent School for K-Grade 10 children, is situated in Abbotsford, BC, about 40 miles east of Vancouver. Founded by a dedicated group of Fraser Valley residents from the Sikh community, who wanted a balanced education along traditional school principles that would also ensure the preservation of the Punjabi language and heritage for Canadian-Sikh children, it is the first English-medium school of its kind. The School teaches the regular BC Ministry of Education curriculum with two additional course offerings: Punjabi language and Sikh Studies (which includes Shabad Kirtan and tabla).
